Uintah County is located in N.E. Utah. As of 2000 the population was
25,224 and by 2004 had been estimated at 26,671. It was named for the
Ute Indians, the tribe that lives in the basin. The co. seat and largest
city is Vernal. Home price average as of 2000 was $84,800.
